Snow brings new woe to Lisburn as wintry weather continues

HEAVY snow showers on Wednesday morning have added to the woe for drivers and pedestrians around Lisburn.

The snow fell onto already icy roads in the Greater Belfast and Lisburn area with hazardous conditions reported across the region. The Roads Service says that all main routes have been treated and are passable with care.

However, ice remains a problem on minor untreated roads, particularly over higher ground.
