Social economy 'vitally important' - Neeson
EAST Antrim MLA Sean Neeson has urged the government to actively promote the social economy to help create new jobs.
With a motion on the issue being debated in the Assembly earlier this week, the Alliance enterprise spokesman said that social economy projects would help boost Northern Ireland’s economy through “creating employment opportunities and delivering positive results for communities”.
He added: “The social economy empowers communities and organisations to make a positive difference and promotes entrepreneurship and vision. It is vitally important that this sector is well-resourced by government so that more projects can be created and existing ones can flourish and grow.”
