Planners recommended approval of the application by Ark Housing Association subject to relevant conditions.

The proposal for the Templemoyle site comprises three dwellings and six apartments within a two-storey block and includes provision of 16 car parking spaces. Five objections received from nearby residents in relation to road safety, local character, safety during construction and loss of open space.

The committee went on to support the proposal of Cr Beth Adger, seconded by Cr Tommy Nicholl, to accept the planner’s recommendation to approve.
