Solas Moyle lottery fund

People in the Ballycastle area are improving their health and well-being, thanks to a grant from Big Lottery Fund.

Solas Moyle has been awarded £173,990 for their five-year Community Well Being project. It is one of four projects across NI that are receiving grants totalling £1,051,936 today under the People and Communities programme. The Community Well Being Hub project is using the grant to develop their current community led mental health and wellbeing hub in Ballycastle. The project is better supporting people by running a more consistent drop-in service and a long-term programme. It is providing early one-to-one and group support including counselling, gardening, art and crafts, cookery, and sessions with other groups and schools. The project is targeting people who tend to be more isolated such as men, vulnerable young adults, carers, young parents, older people and people in rural areas in the Glens where support is limited. www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/global-content/programmes/northern-ireland/people-and-communities
