Soloist Stars on the 'boards' in Cullybackey

CULLYBACKEY- like so many other pipe bands- realizes the necessity and importance of encouraging young pipers and drummers, and no better example of the 'fruits' of that philosophy can be found than within the parameters of their annual solo competition.

This year’s event takes place for the 23rd time, on Saturday, April 3, in Cullybackey High School, commencing at 10.30am.

In recent years, the promoters have seen a significant increase in the numbers entering at juvenile levels, and they believe that this has been as a result of the measures introduced to cater for young people at all levels in the burgeoning pipe band movement.

The organizers appreciate those who continue to support their ideals, and would encourage bands that have not entered anyone in the past, to use this forum to assist them in the development of their young players.
