Something for everyone at the Colin festival

A local community festival is back with a bang once again this year with a bumper programme of events for children, young people and families in the Colin area.

The Colin Summer Festival, organised by Colin Neighbourhood Partnership (CNP), runs from Monday August 4 until Saturday August 9 and will see lots of free community events taking place in various venues throughout the area.

The highlight of the programme is undoubtedly the Colin Carnival Parade and Fun Day on Thursday August 7. This colourful spectacle sees residents, families and youth groups get dressed up in fancy dress and strut their stuff up the Stewartstown Road amidst music, carnival floats, bubbles and bunting. Last year hundreds of people joined the parade and this year Colin Neighbourhood Partnership is urging everyone in the community to get involved so it will become the biggest parade yet. Everyone is invited to meet at St Luke’s Church car park in Twinbrook and the parade will make its way up the Stewartstown Road at 12.45pm.
