Soul Cafe ends on successful note

'Here I am O God, I bring this sacrifice. My open heart; I offer up my life….'… this, the chorus of the closing worship song of the final night of Soul Cafe 2010 represented the spirit of this youth outreach event as it finished on Sunday night. Prayers were answered, God was glorified and the eternal destinations of lives changed!

Soul Caf 2010 had started the previous weekend with amazing atmosphere and results, however was surpassed by this weekends event. Due to appalling weather conditions Drumreagh’s own house band took to the stage in replacement of Clay, who couldn’t make it, and gave an awesome performance to a delighted crowd. Six times Irish surfing champion Andy Hill captivated the multitude with his faith filled and encouraging testimony.

The evening finished with Chris Mc Cune, giving a clearly God inspired message to the crowd.

Weather didn’t deter the crowds as they flocked into the hall, More chairs were brought out and as the leaders served juice worship music flowed from the stage with Worship leader Andy Rodgers captivating the crowd. Ballymena based Winston Copeland from ‘Believers on mountain bikes’ shared his testimony of how Jesus saved him, and how He has kept him through emotional times, and Chris continued the message with heart searching words from God that challenged both the young and older there.

If attendance records were broke before, Sunday night seen new records set as Drumreagh hall was filled to capacity. God used Chris to deliver His message in no uncertain terms, and Chapter Seven’s drummer Nigel Dooey testified how a sovereign God saved, protected and has been using him to bring glory to His wonderful name. The drama teamed hushed the hall with an awesome stage presentation of salvation and Chapter 7 again together with hundreds of voices filled the hall with praise to an Almighty God.

With the prayer team upstairs covering the event with prayer and worship and God’s Spirit moving through the hall, it was to His Glory that lives were changed that weekend.

At the end of the evening once the last visitor had left, the team gave thanks to God for the success of the event with lives changed due to Salvation, and they would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that served in any of the teams and supported in any way especially through prayer and would ask that that support would be maintained in prayer for the continued outreach that is necessary in follow up and to acknowledge that to God be all the glory.
