Soul Café returns to Drumreagh Church Hall

The Christian band ‘3:30’ played on Friday night and ‘Elim Worship’ played on Saturday night. There were testimonies from Dr Nigel Hart, a Mount Everest climber. Nigel spoke about his experiences on Mount Everest and also what God has done for him during the ups and downs of his life so far. Steve Morris testified on Saturday night about Jesus and his life in the Congo and India. Sunday night saw Ulster Rugby team physio Kyle Alexander speaking with liberty as he relayed how Jesus’ saving power had transformed his life.

Sunday night found the hall bursting at the seams even before the event commenced, with the tables removed and just the chairs out to accommodate the numbers.

Local well-known worship band Red Letter took the stage on Sunday night and led the praise to a standing crowd with many favourites. Mitch and Steve from Crown Jesus Ministries opened God’s word during the three nights speaking on Following, the cost of Following and the Cross of Christ and left no doubt in anyone’s mind as to which way was the truth and the life.

The weekend event closed with the very appropriate worship song – ‘When I Survey The Wondrous Cross’, a fitting praise to a God who worked miracles this weekend and saw the lives of many young people saved and restored.

Soul Café took place again last weekend with ‘The Well’ and ‘Inflame’ bands taking to the stage on Friday and Saturday night and the popular and talented ‘Red Letter’ leading the worship again on Sunday night.

There were more testimonies - Stuart Elliot (former Northern Ireland football player) on Friday night, Paul Darragh returned on Saturday night and local woman of God Rhonda Lafferty on Sunday night.

Soul Café was privileged to host Marc Taylor as the guest speaker.

Marc is not a stranger to Drumreagh as he spoke at a Soul Cafe in a previous year, when God blessed him and the whole team by changing the eternal destination of some of the youth.

Everyone in the Soul Cafe team would like to continue to thank all those who are supporting this event in any way and especially in prayer.
