The Store team were overwhelmed by the support and generosity of all their shoppers who not only donated over £1500 on the day but also hopped on board the static bike to do their bit before picking up the rest of their groceries.

The store, owned by local family Eamon and Ann McKillop, recently signed up a new campaign to install AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) outside SPAR stores.

The campaign has full support from Dr Michael McBride, Northern Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer and it is intended that the 300 new devices will be installed and available for public use throughout Northern Ireland in 2016.

Community and store fundraising at each outlet signed up will fund the devices, aiming for £1,500 to purchase the product, its temperature controlled cabinet and installation.
