Spark is back for 2012!

SPARK will be returning to the streets of Ballymena and surrounding areas for the 6th year this summer from August 4-16.

A Spark spokesperson said “We are delighted to be returning to the following areas: Ballee, Ballykeel, Broughshane, Doury Road, Dunclug, Fisherwick, Harryville, Kells, Randalstown, Town Centre, Tullygarley and we will also be working in Portglenone and Toome for the first time.”

“We kick off with our training day in Wellington on Saturday, August 4, at 12.30pm with the volunteers attending various workshops to help equip and prepare them for the week ahead.

“The week begins in earnest on Monday 6th with morning devotions being led by Philip Kerr from Crown Jesus Ministries. We will then go to the various areas to be involved in several practical projects and events including kids clubs, gardening, visits to nursing homes, live music, fun days and much, much more.”

There will also be a family fun day on Saturday, August 11, at Eaton Park from 1pm-4pm. This will include an ‘It’s A Knockout Challenge,’ inflatables, BBQ, live music, stalls and face painting. Entry is free and everyone is very welcome to come and join the fun.

As usual, Spark will conclude with a Thanksgiving service in High Kirk Presbyterian Church at 8.30pm on Sunday, August 12.

This is an opportunity to celebrate God’s goodness and faithfulness and to praise Him for all He has accomplished throughout the week of Spark. Again everyone is welcome to come along.
