Special celebration of storytelling

Guest tellers from Poland, Jamaica and Nigeria will join local people to share their stories with children and adults. The event part of the Heart of the Glens festival and is free of charge and is suitable for children and adults of all ages!

This event is part of Cultural Connections, a culture and arts programme meant to help groups promote a greater understanding and awareness of the rich cultural diversity of the North East, including ethnic minority and indigenous cultural traditions.

Cultural Connections is funded under the European Union's PEACE III programme managed on behalf of the Special EU Programmes Body by the North East PEACE III Partnership. Cultural Fusions is delivered by the Cultural Connections Consortium which is comprised of Mid-Antrim Museums Service, Causeway Museum Service and Beyond Skin.

One Land, Many Voices Event Details:

Venue: Cushendall Boat Club

Monday 9th August

3.00pm – 4.30pm: Family storytelling for children aged 5 and over

7.00pm – 8.30pm: Storytelling for adults featuring local and guest tellers and including a special bi-lingual Polish/Irish session with Kasia Lech

9.30pm til late: Johnny Joe’s (McCollams Bar), Mill Street, Cushendall
