The Law Enforcement Torch Run is one of the most high profile events organised by Special Olympics Ireland around Games time. Local members of both police services will carry the torch (Flame of Hope) as it makes its way through their District/Division.

A permanent runner representing both An Garda Sochna and the PSNI will form part of each running leg and will be supported by local Garda or police officers. A support team, including a representative from eircom will accompany each route to oversee logistics, timings and dressing of venues.
