Special screening of Unheard Voices

WAVE Trauma Centre will be screening their latest film 'Unheard Voices' along with a panel discussion afterwards chaired by Commissioner for Victims and Survivors Mike Nesbitt on Friday February 19 at IMC Cinema Complex, Ballymena from 11.00am – 1.15pm.

Unheard Voices was developed in partnership with the Centre for Media Research from the University of Ulster and illustrates a collection of six powerful short stories of those who have lost someone or who have been injured permanently as a result of the Northern Ireland Conflict. This 30 minute film presents poignant reflections on a range of experiences, as survivors and relatives engage with the themes of loss, recovery, justice and remembering.

While policy makers address the difficult tasks of public acknowledgement and truth recovery, these short films gently work their way into your thoughts by asking you to listen to the voices that are often not heard.

To reserve your place please contact the Ballymoney WAVE centre on 02827669900 or email us on [email protected]. This event is free of charge.
