Speed curb placed on Limavady Road

A thirty-miles-per-hour speed limit has been imposed on motorists using the main Londonderry to Coleraine road to facilitate ongoing dualling work on the traffic artery.

The temporary speed limit took effect on Monday and will be in place for the next six months.

The Department of Regional Development (DRD) stated: "Notice is hereby given in compliance with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 3 of the Roads Traffic Regulation (NI) Order 1997 that the Department of Regional Development (DRD), in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 7 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation (NI) order 1997, proposes to impose a 30 miles per hour speed limit on the A2 Clooney Road from 400m West of Airport Road for a period of six months commencing on 18th April, 2010."
