Speed limit is extended at Culcavy
Lagan Valley MLA Brenda Hale has welcomed news that the 30mph speed limit on the Aughnatrisk Road, Culcavy, has been extended.
She said: “While I welcome Transport NI’s decision to extend the 30mph speed limit on the Aughnatrisk Road, to incorporate Annacloy Park; I am pleased that the necessary signs have now been extended by some 130 metres.
“In the wake of the recent accident on this road and local concerns over the speed of traffic, I have requested a traffic calming assessment be carried out on the Augnatrisk Road on the approach to the crossroads junction with the Culcavy Road.”
She said she will continue to lobby Transport NI and raise concerns of local people in the area with regards to improving road safety around Culcavy.
