Speeder was late for work

A MAN caught doing close to 100 miles an hour on the motorway was fined £60 and had three points imposed on his licence.

Pedro Filipe Dos Santos Rebelo (29), of Ballyoran Park, Portadown admitted the excess speed charge at Thursday's sitting of Craigavon Magistrates Court.

The court was told he had been detected driving at 97.2mph on the motorway on August 9 this year.
