Speeding with no seat belt
A CARRICK man who was caught speeding in Islandmagee has been fined at the local magistrates court.
Stuart McCall, 31, of Bessfield Close, pleaded guilty to the offence at Larne Courthouse on Friday. The prosecution lawyer told the court that the accused had been detected travelling at 53mph in a 30mph zone at Ballystrudder Road on August 4.
McCall also admitted a charge of not wearing a seatbelt on the same occasion. He was fined 50 for failing to belt up, and received three penalty points and a further 90 fine for speeding.
