Sports Relief challenge to head through village

GLENAVY: A team of brave celebrities including Diarmuid Gavin, Craig Doyle, Sonia O’Sullivan, Shane Byrne, Joe Barr and Ian Moore will be cycling through Glenavy as part of the Irish leg of the massive Sports Relief Challenge.

They will be cycling and running the 130 miles from Dublin to Larne in March as part of a four nation challenge.

The other teams will start simultaneously from their home cities of Cardiff, Edinburgh and London as they run, row, cycle and sail their way clockwise around the UK and Ireland for eight days, finishing on St Patrick’s Day.

Sport Relief has a unique history of celebrities taking on gruelling physical challenges to raise cash and change lives.
