St. Brendan’s hit all the right notes

The choir performed ‘Your Heart Will Lead You Home’ from Disney’s The Tigger Movie, as well as performing with Ireland’s leading tenor sensations, The Three Tenors Ireland, during their rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’. The choir comprises of children from P5 to P7, are led by Miss Rachel O’Hara and were accompanied by Ms Pat McAlinden.

They perform at a number of events each year, including The Derry City of Culture Festival and The Peace Proms, and has also produced a number of CDs to raise money for charity.

Lisa French, Acting Principal of St. Brendan’s Primary School, said that Saturday had been a fabulous occasion for the pupils and one that “our choir members and school will treasure for many years to come.”
