St Colm’s Draperstown celebrate league table results

ST COLM’S High School, Draperstown are celebrating after their A level achievement was ranked second in Northern Ireland.

In recent league tables St. Colm’s was ranked second out of all 168 post primary schools in Northern Ireland. These tables are based on all grammar and non grammar schools obtaining 3 A* - C at A level.

St Colm’s is the top achieving non grammar school with 94.1 per cent of all pupils achieving three A levels, only one other secondary school was in the top ten.

There was further success when three of those A level students obtained top places in the Northern Ireland CEA examinations.

Principal Roisin McKenna said she was immensely proud of this leading position in Northern Ireland.

“This is a tremendous achievement for St. Colm’s and it has all been made possible through teamwork. The commitment of our staff is second to none,” she said.

“Everyone works very hard to get the best out of all our children and help them reach their full potential. Our believe and achieve approach is built on teaching and learning of the highest quality.

“We are very much a community school and enjoy great support from parents. It is this two way communication and partnership which contributes to the success of St. Colm’s.”
