Agnes Hannon, who was the driving force behind Scor within Aghagallon, recently died. The win is seen as a fitting tribute to Mrs Hannon for all that she done over the years in promoting Scor in the area.

Pat McKenna said: “Unfortunately I was not in Dublin for the final as we were hosting an under 14 tournament at the time, but as the news filtered through that the ballad group had won none of us could contain our delight with the great news.”
