St Mary’s PS, Maghera to get sensory playground after People’s Millions win

Glenview PS big win on People's Millions to create a sensory garden for autistic children.

The group beat the Stroke Association - The Friendship Network to land a funding boost of £30,696 to create a sensory playground at St Mary’s PS, Maghera for children on the autistic spectrum.

Earlier in the week, local cancer charity Charis also won their phone in vote, taking home the £50,000 worth of funding for their services helping those affected by cancer.

A delighted spokesperson for Glenview Support Group said: “We owe a massive thank you to everybody that voted for us, and especially to those who have helped us out and gave up so much of their time for us, both yesterday and in the past few weeks. We absolutely could not have done it without every single one of you!

“We owe thanks as well to those at The People’s Millions Big Lottery Fund for giving us the opportunity to take part and for helping us throughout the process.

“Thank you again, and we’ll keep you updated on the progress of our playground!”
