St Patrick’s Day at Ecos & Slemish
COUNCIL facilities at Ecos and Slemish will once again be the bases for St Patrick’s Day celebrations on March 17.
Members of the local authority’s Economic Development Partnership last week backed a recommendation from their Economic Development Unit that Ballymena Borough Council support the 2011 events at both venues.
Once again a park & ride type bus shuttle service involving 12x24-seater coaches, will run between car parks at Ecos/Buckna and Slemish car park where mobile hot food catering services will be available for visitors.

Hide AdAt Ecos, traditional music will be played from 12noon-3pm and children’s activities will be staged from 12noon-4pm.
Other activities there will include the playing of a video on Ballymena in the Ecos hub, story telling by Liz Weir and serving of hot food in the Ecos Coffee Shop.
