St Paul’s College pupils give helping hand to Action MS

ACTION MS have thanked St Paul’s College in Kilrea for their efforts on behalf of people with multiple sclerosis through their recent Walk for MS.

Social Care Manager, Patricia Webber visited the school for a special presentation.

Over 170 pupils joined the Walk for MS team in Portglenone Forest Park on 23rd May 2012.

The pupils raised a fantastic total of £3,170.00 in aid of Action MS, Northern Ireland’s Multiple Sclerosis Charity.

In thanking the pupils who walked this year Mrs Webber said: “Thanks to the generosity, dedication and support of schools like St Paul’s College, Kilrea the Walk for MS has helped to fund the extensive range of services provided by Action MS.

“Action MS supports people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers in Northern Ireland. St Paul’s College really enjoyed their morning’s walk and Action MS is very grateful for their generous support.”

Mrs Webber went on to say: “The Walk for MS first started over 30 years ago. Hundreds of people have been helped by the Action MS support team.

“This help includes reflexology, a listening ear service, support for children and families living with multiple sclerosis, support for young people, free legal advice and Digital Inclusion.”
