Sinn Féin’s Moyle Chairperson, Cllr Cara McShane, hosted a dazzling ‘Stars of Moyle’ event just before Christmas.

The event which took place in the Mayor’s Parlour, honoured achievements by individuals and groups throughout the Moyle 
District.

Cllr Cara McShane said:”This event was organised to recognise the achievements and successes of people throughout our District. It is important that we acknowledge those who contribute positively to the fabric of our community.

“We have so much to be proud of and this is a small gesture to say thanks to the people from Ballycastle, The Glens and Causeway areas for their work and their ability to inspire others.”

Those who were nominated came from across the District and from all walks of life. It was a great evening with an awards ceremony in the Mayor’s Parlour, followed by refreshments and music in the Council Chamber.

“I would like to thank everyone who made nominations, the caterers and also to Kieran McHugh for the entertainment. Finally, I congratulate the ‘Stars of Moyle’ without you none of this would have been possible,” added Cllr Mc Shane.
