Stay independent for longer with Age NI

AGE NI – the new charity combining Age Concern NI and Help the Aged in Northern Ireland – has increased the availability of its advice and information phoneline, allowing older people to access the charity's services from 8am to 7pm seven days a week, all year round.

Longer opening hours will ensure that people in later life, their family, friends and carers will have greater access to a wide range of integrated home support services, including the advice and advocacy service, the HandyVan scheme and a 24-hour personal alarm service.

Jacqui Corscadden, head of services at Age NI, said: “Age NI is delighted to announce longer opening hours for the charity’s free advice and information line. Our home support services have improved the lives of many older people throughout NI and we hope that by increasing the availability of the free phoneline, we can support even more people in later life.
