Step out on a village walk

THERE’S the opportunity next week to learn more about the picturesque village of Carnlough and historical Cushendun through the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust’s guided walks programme.

The Carnlough event is being held on Wednesday, September 12 and participants can join a local historian for a free walk, taking in the industrial heritage of the coastal village and its renowned buildings, including the Londonderry Arms Hotel.

Anyone interested should meet at the harbour car park in Carnlough at 6pm.

The guided walk around Cushendun will take place on Thursday, September 13.

Those taking part will learn about the village’s history and heritage and the walk will also provide the opportunity to explore the caves and the varied geology of the Glens of Antrim.

Walkers are asked to meet at the car park by the bridge in Cushendun at 6pm.
