Steven wins competition by '˜putting on the ritz' for cinema

Steven McIever a Primary 5 student at Holy Trinity Primary School entered a competition his mum Tracy had spotted on Facebook.

The competition was part of the Ritz Multiplex campaign to launch their new soft play area.

Steven along with hundreds of other children submitted their choice of name for the new facility.

When asked about the name Steven said: “ I just thought it needed to be short and it needed to be catchy. Then I thought what rhymes with Ritz,”

The new facility was officially opened on Friday and includes a soft play area and a party room.

Steven has become a bit of a celebrity in Holy Trinity Primary School as his prize for winning was a very generous one.

Steven was presented with passes to ‘Ritz Kidz’ and the cinema for himself and all his classmates.

Giles Conlon from Ritz Multiplex visited the school on Wednesday afternoon and presented Steven and his classmates with their prize much to everyone’s delight.

The name Ritz Kidz was chosen by a panel of judges. Although several people suggested this name, the first entry received was chosen.
