Stewartstown man facing charges of ‘tendering counterfeit notes’

A date has been fixed for the trial of a Stewartstown man accused of two charges of tendering counterfeit money.

It is alleged that John Ferguson, from Coagh Road, “passed or tendered a Bank of England £20 note” that he knew to be fake on two separate dates - August 16 and 18 - this year.

The 23-year-old is due back to appear for trial on January 19, with a pre-trial review to be held on January 7.
