STIHL saw stolen by tracksuit man

Police are investigating the theft on Monday of a power saw from the rear of a house at Slievemore Park, while workmen were on a break. It occurred at around 2pm and involved a STIHL circular saw, which is orange and cream in colour, with the initials MC. A man in a tracksuit is sought by the PSNI.

The saw had a new blade fitted.

A PSNI spokesman said: “The workmen were alerted to the theft of the saw when a member of the public spoke to them about a man making off through Carnhill with the saw. The male is described as being in his 20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing a black tracksuit and red baseball cap.”
