Store helps raise £4,000 for charity

A LURGAN store had helped raise a whopping £4,000 for a local charity.

Action Cancer has received a funding boost from Morrow Retail SuperValu, Lurgan, along with SuperValu Lisburn and Centra Culcavy.

Staff and customers from Morrow’s SuperValu, Lurgan have contributed to this amazing total through in-store collections and fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

The money will help fund Action Cancer’s services which include the Big Bus, sponsored by SuperValu, a unique state-of-the-art mobile clinic providing breast screening and cancer prevention services.

It will also support Action Cancer’s Health Action programme for schools, which is sponsored by Centra. Health Action has been designed to educate young people on healthier lifestyles, including exercise, healthy eating, sun safety and the dangers of smoking and alcohol.

Centra, SuperValu, and their independent retail partners across Northern Ireland have an award-winning partnership with Action Cancer.
