'˜Store Wars' at local Barnardo's branch

The initiative is part of the organisation’s ‘Store Wars’ challenge.

Branches across the UK are aiming to raise funds for Age UK and Barnardo’s, competing to see who can collect the greatest amount.

Area manager, Paula Arkins said: “This is the first time this has happened in Northern Ireland with Barnardo’s.

“Santander will come in and take over the store; they will be using the tills, steaming the clothes and bringing a fantastic fun atmosphere to our shop at Victoria Road.

“The winner is the shop that generates the most income on the day.”

The takeover will run during the branch opening hours (9am-5:30pm) on Friday.

The shop is located at unit 5/6, Victoria Road Shopping Centre, Carrickfergus.
