Storey support for retention of DVA jobs locally
DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has given his support for the retention of DVA jobs in County Hall Coleraine.
Speaking after a NIPSA meeting, Mr. Storey said: “Every effort must be made to retain the existing jobs. The DVA office network here has a proven record of customer satisfaction. 98% of customers in a random poll conducted stated a preference for directing the query to a local motor tax office or to Coleraine – the services DVLA propose to abolish.
“In the same Poll 97% Car dealers (who have a good working relationship with their local DVA office, who rely on the expertise and helpfulness of their staff in complex cases or when something goes wrong) expressed a preference for dealing with DVA offices here, rather than by telephone to Swansea.
