Storey urges support for 60s+ benefits event
LOCAL MLA Mervyn Storey has called for constituents over 60 to take advantage of a public event aimed at providing advice and assistance on obtaining benefits they are entitled to.
He said: “This is a timely and useful event which will take place on 13th of November in Ballymoney Library between 10.am and 3.30pm. It is also a great opportunity for over 60s in the Ballymoney area to seek advice on a one-to-one level with experts from Social Services Agency, NI Direct, Land & property Services and NI Housing Executive, all of whom will answer any questions.”
Mr. Storey added that the event was being held in Ballymoney because it had been identified as an area with a very low uptake of benefits.
