Storey welcome for treatment of ME

North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed recent moves by the Health Minister Edwin Poots in relation to the treatment of ME.

Speaking after the Minister had undertaken to get the HSC to look again at support given to people suffering from ME, Mr. Storey said:

“I wrote to the health Minister after being contacted by a member of the Northern Ireland ME Association. It is estimated that in Northern Ireland there are some 7,000 people who suffer from ME. In recent times there have been issues surrounding the ME working group.”
