The DUP MP asked the Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers, if she agreed that the Stormont House agreement, with the boost to the economy that should come as a result of the corporation tax decision, the reduction in the size of Government, and the provisions on no rewriting of the past and no expansion of cross-border bodies, means that we now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make significant progress in Northern Ireland?”

Mrs Villiers replied: “I wholeheartedly agree with the hon. Gentleman’s description of the Stormont House agreement.

“It was balanced and fair, it comes with a significant financial boost for Northern Ireland, and it guards against the dangers of those who would attempt to rewrite history.
