Stormont invite for youth group
Mrs Dobson was attending the DVD launch which highlighted the fact that bullying is a reality for the vast majority of young people who have a disability.
Commenting following the launch, which took place at the ENP (Every Night Project) in Rathfriland Street, Mrs Dobson said: “Last Thursday I spent a humbling evening amongst brave young Banbridge people who have a powerful message to tell.

Hide Ad“It was wonderful to see committed young people taking the lead in presenting their views to us. They really have a positive message for us all about disability.
“These young people are united in challenging stereotypes as well as reducing discrimination and bullying.
“As Secretary of the Stormont All Party Group on Disability I was delighted to invite the young people to come to Stormont and to make their passionate presentation to MLA’s and charities.
“Giving young people a voice is critically important, especially when their message is so powerful. “I send my congratulations to each and every one of them for the presentation and the effort which they, alongside SELB Specialist Youth Development Worker Dougie Treverton, have put into this fantastic project .”
