Strathfoyle groupsto lead engagement

Local youth, women’s and community groups in Strathfoyle are coming together to host a community planning engagement day this Saturday (April 18).

A spokesperson for Enagh Youth Forum said: “We would encourage everyone to come along and help shape the local community plan ‘Strathfoyle 2015-2020.’

“The event is open for anyone to call in between 10am and 6pm at the Strathfoyle Youth Centre.

“Local people have some really good ideas for the area moving forward and as local youth and community groups, we want to hear from them.

“We would like to also express our thanks to the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland for funding this very important event through their ‘Community Planning Support Programme.’”

The event will be an opportunity to meet all of the youth and community groups in Strathfoyle and find out what services are available; to hear about proposed projects for the area including the play park, multi-use-games area (MUGA) and greenway plans; to have your aspirations and visions for Strathfoyle included in this plan; to see performance artists and circus skills performers; and to meet the owl who featured in the Harry Potter films and other small creatures.
