Strike likely to affect council services in Cookstown
Some council services in Cookstown could be disrupted by strike action on Thursday, July 10.
A statement from the council read: “Following Trade Union ballots for national industrial action in relation to their current pay claim, Trade Unions plan to call their members to strike on Thursday 10 July 2014.
“Council is not yet aware of the level of support this strike will attract but it is likely that there will be some disruption of services, most likely within Technical and Leisure Services.”
