Struck by car
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an older man was struck by a car at the junction of Lower Violet Street with Chapel Road and Spencer Road around 8.30pm on Saturday, August 14.
There were no reports of any serious injuries, however, police would be keen to speak to the driver of the dark coloured car. The telephone number to ring is 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously through the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity on freephone 0800 555 111.
