Both sentences are to run concurrently and they were suspended for two years.

The court heard that on December 13 last year police called at the home address of the defendant and he was arrested in respect of another matter.

When police were putting on handcuffs Tlili struggled and they went from the hallway into the back yard where he struck an officer on the right eye.

A barrister representing the defendant said he had been grabbed by the coat and his arms were flailing about when he struck the officer.
