The school was awarded a prize of two thousand pounds to spend on equipment that would improve the cycling skills of the pupils at the school and encourage them to be as active as possible whilst at school.

The winning entry was awarded to a past pupil, who designed a jersey for the Giro D‘Italia last year. As well as winning the prize money for the school the jersey design was also made into a real cycling jersey that the student can now wear herself.

As an Sustrans Active Travel school, all members of the school community are encouraged to travel to school as actively as possible in a bid to help improve their health and well being.
