Students take RTU factory tour

On Tuesday, May 4 the Cloughfern Avenue-based company welcomed a group of first year horticultural students from Greenmount College to take a close look at how RTU turn basic raw materials into the highest quality mortar, concrete, plaster and screed.

The students, wearing high visibility vests and hard hats, enjoyed a tour of the modern, state-of-the-art batching plant and had the chance to test the knowledge of RTU’s technical representatives with their questions.

The students were particularly curious to learn how RTU are combating the current recession in the construction industry.

“RTU can boast strong successes during these trying times by being exceptional in our levels of customer service, innovative in our thought processes and proactive in developing new products,” a company spokesman revealed.

“The staff at RTU would like to wish the students of Greenmount College success in their careers and hope to do business with them in the future,” he added.
