Students urged to consider STEM subjects

With many students across the province receiving their A level results, Mr Ken Webb, Principal of South Eastern Regional College, is strongly encouraging students to consider enrolling onto a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math’s) course at their local College.

He said: “With STEM subjects a key driver of economic growth and prosperity, I am encouraging students to explore the many possibilities that their local Further Education College can offer and how exciting and rewarding a STEM career can be.

“With men outnumbering women by three to one in STEM careers I am urging parents and careers advisors to promote and enrol their children in subjects that focus on academic excellence.
