Success for Friends’ School as they receive award

FRIENDS’ School Lisburn has been awarded the prestigious International School Award in recognition of bringing the wider world into the classroom.

The International School Award seeks to celebrate, develop, recognise and accredit outstanding practice in the international dimensions of teaching and learning.

Cultural

Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need to live and work as global citizens.

The resubmission for International status by Friends’ included a wide range of new and existing activities that highlighted a strong international ethos embedded across the curriculum and the school’s year round involvement with the local, national and international communities.
