Trip organiser, Mr Eamonn McVeigh, worked extremely hard to ensure that pupils would be well catered for in terms of accommodation, evening activities and most importantly ski instruction. An excursion to the beautiful city of Verona was also organised for the last day and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed this fitting end to the trip.

There were three beginner ski groups and also a beginner snowboard group. They received five hours of quality ski instruction each day from instructors from the highly regarded Folgaria Ski School. The intermediate and advanced groups hit the ground running with their instructors pushing them hard and working on their technique throughout the week.

After six enjoyable days the trip headed for a day excursion to Verona one of northern Italy’s most famous towns and is a World Heritage site with attractions including the Roman Ruins and Amphitheatre and Juliet’s Balcony.

Our pupils, accompanied by Mr McVeigh, Ms Somers and Mr Herron, were excellent ambassadors for their school and community and arrived home with many fantastic memories and a new found love for skiing – many of them can’t wait to get back next year!
