Sugden backing ‘Keep Us Well’ campaign

The campaign coincided with ‘Ask Your Pharmacist Week’, which highlighted the work of community pharmacists, and the wealth of knowledge they possess in relation to health care.

Claire joined more than 50 charities, and those living with long term conditions in Stormont, calling on the Health Minister and the Executive to commit to no return to prescription charges for people with long term conditions.

The campaign is led by British Heart Foundation Northern Ireland and MS Society, and supported by the Prescription Charges Coalition and the Long Term Conditions Alliance NI.

They say paying for treatment will place an unfair burden on the sick and disabled, and won’t save the health service money in the long term.
