Sugden speaks out about Harpur’s Hill incident

The Independent representative said: “I understand that a man in his forties suffered a stab wound to his stomach, and is being treated in hospital as a result of these injuries.

“Thankfully the injury is not life-threatening, however it has caused those living in the area, as well as the man himself, concern for their safety. “Harpurs Hill is a residential area where many families and older people live.

“They are not thought of when an attack like this is carried out.

“Harpurs Hill has seen a number of successful community organisations working hard to bring people together within this area. I am disappointed that there remain a few who are trying to undermine this progress.
