Suicide and depression awareness talk at Larne Baptist Church
The talk will be given by Colin Cooper of the Niamh Louise Foundation, whose 17-year-old son Matthew tragically lost his battle with severe depression just over three years ago.
Colin will share how he coped with this tragedy, which he describes as “the most difficult time that we as a family have ever experienced.”

He will also tell of the difference his Christian faith has made as he and his family continue to live with the loss of Matthew, who he describes as a “fun-loving person” and “a wonderful musician.”
Pastor Simon Curry of Larne Baptist Church said the church wanted to offer support to those dealing with depression and suicide.
“Our chuch isn’t here to pretend that these things don’t happen, we want to offer support and we believe that ultimately the answers are found in Jesus Christ,” he stated.
