Summer Bible Club underway

It's that time of year again as the end of the school term approaches and churches gear up for running their annual Summer Bible Clubs.

Ballinderry Presbyterian Church, nestled in the countryside just outside Ballinderry Upper, on Meeting House Road, is no different and is hosting its Summer Bible Club, during the evening (6.30pm – 8pm) Wednesday 22 June to Friday 24 June.

Although a relatively small country congregation the planning and delivery of this club by a team of over 20 capable and enthusiastic volunteers, largely from within its ranks, is evidence of the congregation’s growth, strength and diversity. Rev William Henry is the minister of the church assisted by Assistant Minister Edwin Frazer and Youth Worker Lewis McKelvey.

The Summer Bible Club has proved to be a popular event in the local calendar drawing lots of children from the surrounding area. The age range that it caters for this year is from Pre-school – P6.

This year the club has a medieval theme and is entitled ‘Knights of the King’. Using the Gospel of Matthew Knights of the King provides a fun environment to engage the children’s imaginations whilst also teaching them about the true king of all - God’s great king who died for us, Jesus. Throughout the three day period the children will be involved in a variety of activities including: singing, Bible stories, drama, craft and quizzes.
